This position is located in Camrose, Alberta.   

This position has an end date of one year from the date of hire. Hours for this part-time position will vary over the semester, but will likely include a few hours each month.

The Communications department within External Relations is looking to hire two to three student photographers to be available over the course of the 2018/19 academic year. We are looking for reliable photographers who demonstrate creativity and initiative and who have their own equipment. This position will cover events over the academic year, including work on evenings and weekends. 

Duties

  • Available to photograph various events on and around campus, including lectures, informal gatherings, conferences, presentations, performances, games, etc. as well as special projects including portraits and group shots at varying times (days, evenings, weekends)
  • Edits photo selections and return them to supervisor in a timely manner
  • Demonstrates reliability, including coming to events early in order to set up and capture photos needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma required
  • Some photography experience; please submit a portfolio or samples of work upon application
  • Experience in photographing events as well as portraits
  • A willingness to take initiative and speak up to compose subjects, if necessary
  • A commitment to quality work and a quick turn around time
  • Ability to work well under pressure
