Co-Director, Family Medicine - Enhanced Surgical Skills

The Department of Family Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, invites applications for Co-Program Director supporting the postgraduate program in Enhanced Surgical Skills.

The successful candidate will jointly collaborate and share duties and responsibilities with the Program Director with in-training and program evaluation, organizing and conducting academic rounds and teaching activities, program review, and the review of applications to the program.

The position is 0.1 FTE, which will require the commitment of an average of one half day per week. The term of the appointment is 3 years.

The successful applicant must have completed FM-ESS residency training and possess certification in Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine through the College of Family Physicians of Canada (or equivalent), and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta, and should have a Clinical Academic Colleague appointment with the Department of Family Medicine.  As a member of an academic department, the successful candidate will have experience in a teaching role and scholarly interests.
