The Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Alberta invites applications for a full time, five-year term non-tenure track position in the Department of Occupational Therapy.

The successful candidate must possess a PhD or master’s in occupational therapy with a minimum of 5-10 years of clinical experience in the area of mental health and will be required to register with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT). The incumbent will serve as an instructor and content expert for courses focused primarily in the mental health and Integration and Application curriculum themes. The position will have a significant teaching-related service component and participate in research activities related to clinical education, knowledge translation and program evaluation. The University of Alberta’s Department of Occupational Therapy, one of three departments in the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine, is among the largest occupational therapy education programs in Canada. Based in Edmonton, and using state of the art technology, the Department operates a satellite program in Calgary delivering the MScOT program through a combination of videoconference and face-to-face instruction. Approximately 120 students are admitted each year.

Salary will be based on the incumbent’s qualifications, experience and achievements, and in accordance with the Academic Teaching Staff (ATS) Agreement.  This position has a term length of five years with the possibility of extension and offers a comprehensive benefits package found at Faculty & Staff Benefits.
