Position Summary

The Centre for Particle Physics and the Theoretical Physics Institute at the University of Alberta invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position in the area of (astro-) particle physics phenomenology. The position will be joint between theoretical and experimental groups in the Department of Physics at the University of Alberta.

Duties

The candidate will carry out research in theoretical astroparticle physics, with strong connections and collaborations with the SNOLAB experimental program, especially the NEWS-G, PICO, SBC, and DEAP dark matter projects. Candidates with interests in dark matter physics are especially encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications

A Ph.D. in theoretical particle astrophysics, high-energy physics, or a closely related field is necessary with knowledge and experience working in an interdisciplinary and multicultural team. The position is for two years, beginning in Fall 2023, with an extension to the third year upon mutual agreement.
