This term excluded position at the University of Alberta has an initial appointment with an approximate end date of June 30, 2024 with a strong possibility of renewal and a flexible 4-14 hours a week schedule, depending on the time of the athletics season, with a maximum time commitment between November - March.

About the Position

The successful candidate will receive an initial appointment with an end date of June  30, 2024, with a strong possibility of renewal. The Coach position is based out of Camrose, Alberta, Canada. This position is term excluded at the University of Alberta. As a member of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference, Augustana is committed to providing the best learning environment possible for athletes. To that end we are seeking a highly qualified coach. Duties of the Head Coach include: coaching, team management, budgeting, fundraising, recruitment, student-athlete development, team promotion and other duties. The Head Coach is also responsible for following institutional, ACAC and CCAA policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate should possess a diploma or degree - equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
  • Successful background in coaching curling and/or experience as an athlete competing in curling
  • Applicable NCCP Competition Curling Coach certification or equivalent
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and motivational skills
