Salary will be commensurate with experience in accordance with the Academic Teaching Staff (ATS) agreement.

Position

The Department of Computing Science invites applications for a full-time, term Contract Lecturer. Currently, the list of courses contract lecturers may be required to teach (all or part of) includes:

  • CMPUT 274 - Introduction to Tangible Computing I
  • CMPUT 275 - Introduction to Tangible Computing II
  • CMPUT 201 - Practical Programming Methodology
  • CMPUT 204 - Algorithms I

Other courses may be considered as conditions change, and depending on the qualifications of the candidate.

This appointment requires either an M.Sc. or a Ph.D. degree in a relevant discipline and preference will be given to candidates with successful teaching experience. In particular, candidates must be proficient in Python and C/C++, Linux and command-line tools, and the design, analysis, and implementation of algorithms and data structures.
