Research Associate, Immune Responses to COVID-19

The Elahi Lab is seeking an outstanding Immunologist/Immunotherapist for a Research Associate position. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the successful candidates will design and conduct complex scientific research specifically as it relates to immune responses in COVID-19, other chronic viral infections, and cancer.  

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • PhD in immunology, cancer immunotherapy, or a related subject
  • 4/5 years of postdoctoral experience encompassing broad immunology and molecular research preferred
  • Proven accomplishments in immunology and molecular research
  • Working experience in BL2 bio-containment laboratories
  • Working knowledge and experience of molecular techniques, genomics and bioinformatics
  • Extensive experience of cell-culturing including primary tissue cells of human primary cells
  • Working experience of flow cytometry
  • Working experience of RNASeq technology
  • Ability to work independently as well as contributing to team development, including during the supervisor's periodic absences from the lab
