Postdoctoral Position in Public Health Microbiology

Lab of Dr. Greg Tyrrell and Dr. Tanis Dingle
The Tyrrell/Dingle lab is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Post-doctoral Fellow (PDF) to take a leading role in studying pathogens of Public Health importance. This will include studying antibiotic resistance, virulence characteristics, and trends in epidemiological prevalence etc. The work will include as needed; analyzing antimicrobial susceptibility data and resistance mechanisms for organisms such as Mycobacteria, Gram negative and Gram-positive organisms from patients in Alberta.
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in microbiology or related discipline.
- Strong English oral and written communication skills.
- A background in studying antibiotic resistance.
- Proficiency in data analysis.
- Expertise in database development.
- A demonstrated record of research.
