The Department of Finance and Statistical Analysis is accepting applications for a full-time Academic Teaching Staff position for a 5-year term appointment beginning July 1, 2018.  

Reporting to the Chair, the position will include the following responsibilities:

  • Teach a diverse set of finance courses, including Financial Modeling, Risk Management and Fixed Income management to undergraduate and graduate students
  • Remain abreast with relevant literature in Finance as it applies to their teaching resources and activities
  • Manage the Bloomberg Lab and perform administrative duties associated with the position
  • Participate in department activities including the annual Frontiers in Finance conference
  • Maintain an active research profile

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Finance or in a relevant discipline, 5-10 years relevant teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate level and demonstrate clear evidence of superior teaching capacity. In addition, the successful candidate will have published research in well-established finance journals as well as present on-going research at elite conferences and workshops. Experience in managing labs is preferred.  

Members of the department publish in leading journals in finance and business statistics. We offer programs in undergraduate, graduate, and PhD studies. The department has 14 full-time faculty positions, 560 undergraduate students with declared majors/minors in Finance/Statistical Analysis, 57 MBA students with specializations in Finance, as well as 10 PhD students.
