Applications are invited for the position of Chair for the Department of Finance and Statistical Analysis (FSA) in the Alberta School of Business. 

Reporting to the Dean, the Chair is responsible for the leadership and management of the department’s academic programs, budget and related activities.  Eligible applicants will be full-time faculty members who hold a PhD and a distinguished record in university teaching, research and administration.  The Chair appointment with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2018 is for a maximum five-year term, with the possibility of renewal. This internal posting is open to full-time faculty members who hold a tenured appointment in a relevant Faculty/Department at the University of Alberta. 

Members of the department publish in leading journals in finance and business statistics.  We offer programs in undergraduate, graduate, and PhD studies.  The department has 14 full-time faculty positions, 560 undergraduate students with declared majors/minors in Finance/Statistical Analysis, 57 MBA students with specializations in Finance, as well as 10 PhD students.  For more information about the Department of Finance and Statistical Analysis, please see:  https://www.ualberta.ca/finance-and-statistical-analysis.
